3. Writing

A "nugget" is a note capturing a specific piece of evidence you have seen or heard. If you are more than forty years old, you may find it useful to think of nuggets as similar to the index cards on which you took notes for a research paper in school!

A good nugget is a brief summary statement of what you have seen in the evidence box or what someone has told you in an interview. As you prepare your scoring recommendations, you will consult the information you found in the evidence, interviews, and debriefs. 

Enter your nuggets under "A," "I," or "R" (for approach, implementation or results) on your indicator template. You might also decide to include a notation about where you saw or heard the piece of evidence so that you can revisit it later, if necessary.
